Palm Beach County, FL USA
Occupation:
Retired Police Officer 30 Years
Military Service:
US Army Military Police
School Story:

I remember : The Apple Machine. If you ask kids today what a Apple Machine is, they would say a computer, I Phone or I Pad ?
The real cold bone chillin wind that would blow across the front of the school. The big snow drifts. Waiting outside in the cold for the school bus. The cold and wet everything.
Did I say cold too many times? Below 40 degrees is great for BEER.
Now I live in Florida. Crime is high but its job security . So business is good. Winding down my 30th year. Ready to go real soon. The world have gone crazy. This is not the world I grew up in. Many people out there need a hug.
The Senior Lounge Junk Box played great songs, but why would they put in against the cold windows.
Flannel shirts, overalls and work boots was the dress style for both girls and guys.
Being in In-School with MA and all the misfits. One day was enough for me.
Typing class with the new IBMs and the old manuals. I don't think IBM makes typewriters any more. I wish I paid more attention in typing class. Who would have known I would be typing on a computer and carrying one around.
Homecoming for the best week of school. We made floats to look like some animal or Cartoon Character. The Bon Fire (real safe) no danger there. Lets see how close drunk teenagers can get to the fire.
Of course The Horeshoe or "The Shoe".
Cheap cold beer, great juke box. The first time I heard Johnny Cash "Ring of Fire." I would vote that the all time best juke box. We spend many nights there. Of course Walter playing William Tell Overture on the bottles.
Passing out at Riccis (Dewey and Latta) on Friday night and waking up on Sunday. I still can't drink Southern Comfort.
The house parties Shaw's on New Years Eve, Jenkins, Albano's, Beth's to name a few. We walked alot. Drank alot of beer. We walked more. Some passed out along the way. We all made it home safe.
It was all about making life long friends and sharing all the stories we have.
Greece is my hometown and will always be. Once a Titan always a Titan.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Mike grew up in my neighborhood. We went to Parkland, Britton Road and Arcadia together.

I hope you had a good life. We will toast a Jack to you.    Jon Posson
